Eleonora Pons Maronese (born June 25, 1996) is a popular Venezuelan-American singer and songwriter known professionally as Lele Pons.

She gained prominence via the Vine app, where she posted her songs, and was the most followed Vine Creator until the app was shut down in 2016. Lele Pons has since then, continued to expand her presence on various social media platforms and has transitioned into a successful career as a singer and songwriter.

Early Life

Lele was born and raised in Caracas to a pediatrician, Anna Maronese Pivetta, and her father, Luis Guillermo Pons Mendoza, an architect.

Sadly, her parents separated when she was just a baby after her father realized he was gay. Lele was primarily raised by her mother, and they eventually moved to Miami when she was 5 years old.

Her formative years were spent in Miami, where she attended Miami Country Day School and graduated in 2015. After graduation, she relocated to Los Angeles to pursue further education and develop her career.

Lele Pons is the nice of the famous Purrto Rican singer, Chayanne. She also holds Italian and Venezuelan heritage.


Lele gained initial recognition through her comedic sketches and relatable content on Vine, a now-defunct short-form video platform. Her humorous and relatable videos quickly amassed a large following, making her one of the most popular Viners. She leveraged her success on Vine to expand her presence on other social media platforms, such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.

As her online popularity grew, Lele transitioned into mainstream media and pursued opportunities in acting and music. In 2015, she launched a Jewelry collection called the UNO Magnetic and co-authored a novel with Melisa de la Cruz in 2016, a book about her high school experiences titled, Surviving High School. 

In the same year, she made her acting debut in the movie “We Love You,” playing the role of Callie in the critically acclaimed Romantic Comedy Show, which was released on YouTube. She subsequently appeared in films like “The Space Between Us” and “Escape the Night.” She has also made guest appearances on popular TV shows like “Scream” and “Jane the Virgin.” She has also worked with prominent actors, including Camila Cabello, Anita, and J Balvin.

In addition to her acting endeavors, Lele has ventured into the music industry. She released her debut single, “Dicen,” a duet with a Spanish singer, Matt Hunter, in 2018, which quickly gained millions of views on YouTube. She has since released several more singles, collaborating with renowned artists such as Fuego, Anitta, and Susan Diaz.

Beyond acting and music, Lele has established herself as a successful model. She became an ambassador for the brand, CoverGirl. She also walked in Dolce and Gabbana show in the same month in Milan, which solidified her as a Model in the fashion industry.

She also established herself as a successful entrepreneur. She co-founded Shots Studios, a digital entertainment company that focuses on creating content for social media platforms. The company has collaborated with numerous influencers and produced viral videos that have gained millions of views.

In August 2017, She released her first single and a music video for her song “Celoso.” The video was directed by Rudy Mancuso, a fellow creator. 

In 2019, She released her first country song with Jake Owen duet from his song “Senorita.”

In December, She released the video of her song “Vete Pa La” The video was directed by herself and shot by Shots Studio.

Lele was honored with the Influencer Pioneer Award by the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization in 2022. The award, renowned by the United Nations and acknowledged by the US Congress, commended her as a groundbreaking and inventive figure in her industry.

In 2023, Lele returned to the competition world by joining the ninth season of The Masked Singer as “Jackalope.” Unfortunately, she faced elimination on “Sesame Street Night” alongside Malin Akerman, who portrayed “Squirrel.”
