Kyla Ried (born September 22, 1983) is a young talented British female house singer in the UK funky subgenre, originally called NEE SMITH

She was known and noticed for her popular Hit song ‘ Do you mind,’ which she later collaborated with Drake’s international Hit ‘ One Dance’ in 2016.

Early Life

Kyla Ried was born into the Ried family in a populous city in West Germany, United Kingdom. Her father, George Faulkner, and her mother, Judith Gracie.

In her youth, she started her music career as a musician, songwriter, and singer in 2008. 

As a result of her devotion, she soon became successful in her profession. She gained fame for her influence on people based on her career in her residential country United kingdom. 


In her career journey, she has grossed more and grown wider due to her focus and desire for music. With these trends of determination, she has beaten competitors. 

In the early dawn of 2016, Drake’s production showed interest in her hit song ‘Do you mind’ and decided to do an afro-beat/dancehall jam featuring both Drake and Wizkid titled ‘One Dance.’ 

The song hit ‘One Dance’ grew so vast that it gave Kyla’s career a new look and bounced ahead, with high-profile guests taking an interest in her, she was also invited by an external producer like the English producer Naughty boy’s single ‘Should’ve Been Me’ which came into the scene in 2016, and producer Zac Samuel ‘Play It Cool’ single

She also did a Hit Single on September 15, 2917, titled ‘You Ain’t Mine,’ featuring¬†Popcaan,¬†a dancehall artist.

Kyla is married to Errol Ried, also known as DJ Paleface, one-half of the Crazy Cousinz Production. She has retired from music to focus on starting a family with her husband, and the couple now has a son.
