Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu (born April 2, 1981) is a well-known Nigerian businessman who is widely recognized by the name Cubana Chief Priest. He has gained significant fame in the entertainment industry and is the founder and CEO of Club Xhrine in Owerri.

Early Life

Cubana is a Nigerian native who hails from the Southeastern part of the country, specifically from Umuhu Okabia in the Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State. He was born and raised there alongside his siblings by his parents.

For his primary and secondary education, Cubana attended public schools in his local area, including Central School Umuhu Okabia and Community Secondary School Umuhu. Unfortunately, after his father and mother separated, he and his siblings were left in the care of their mother.

After completing his secondary education, Cubana relocated to the city of Aba to live with his father, who was running a shoe-making business at the time. While living with his dad, Cubana gained valuable experience and knowledge in entrepreneurship, which helped shape his future endeavours.

During this period, he also gained admission to study at Federal Polytechnic Nekede, located in Owerri, Imo State. There, he pursued a degree in Estate Management and Valuation.

“While still in Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Cubana continued his entrepreneurial pursuits, making and selling shoes to his fellow students and friends. He quickly gained popularity and became a well-known undergraduate in his school. Due to the high demand for his shoes, Cubana sometimes travelled to Aba to get more shoes from his father’s business to resell in school.

He organized shows in his school to promote up-and-coming artists, further establishing his reputation as a talented show promoter. By the time he graduated, Cubana had become the top show promoter in Owerri and was frequently sought after for organizing shows.

Cubana left Owerri and travelled to Lagos in search of better opportunities. There, he was fortunate to meet Obi Cubana, a well-known Nigerian businessman. After being offered a job at the Cubana Group, Cubana worked diligently and was eventually promoted to the position of General Manager. During his tenure, he successfully expanded the company’s reach by establishing subsidiary companies such as hotels, clubs, and restaurants.

Cubana‘s success as a General Manager allowed him to establish himself as a socialite, gaining him access to the company of top celebrities locally and internationally. He even became close friends with popular Nigerian artist Davido.
