Rubie Rose Benton (born October 2,1997) is an American-born rapper, songwriter, model, and Instagram celebrity born and brought up in Kentucky.
She gained prominence in the music industry after featuring with the Migos on the song ‘Bad and Boujee.’
Early Life
Rose was born in Lexington, Kentucky, to a partially Japanese man who was a lawyer, recognized as John Benton, and her mother, an immigrant dentist from Eritrean with the name Nardos Ghebrelul. She was raised in Geneva, Switzerland, along with her siblings. His older sister, Scarlette, and a kid sister named Coral.
The family didn’t remain in Geneva for long, as they lived just for a year and then relocated to Atlanta, Georgia.
She grew up having a big passion for music and was surrounded by multiple genres of music. She became a big fan of Nicki Minaj, Biggie, Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, Chaka Khan, Marvin Gaye, and Foxy Brown.
Education
Rose attended a local high school in Atlanta, where they moved to. Then she began studying Politics at Georgia State University.
Career
Rose‘s first prominence in the industry came after she was featured in the music video of The Migos as a model for the single, Bad and Boujee.
She picked up her career from there and began featuring on a Twitch stream with a Jamaican-born commentator, DJ Akademiks.
She began writing her own songs and voicing them out as rap. In 2019, Rose came up with a single, ‘Big Mouth.’
The same year, Rose bagged a record deal with A&R Chris Turner to LA Reid’s record label Hitco Entertainment.
She also appeared in Cardi B‘s video featuring Megan Thee Stallion on a WAP song released in August 2020.
She released her debut mixtape in December 2020, featuring some guest artists like Future and PartyNextDoor.
She was featured on the 2021 XXL freshman list.
The young rapper also has some unreleased songs with several artists, including Young Thug. She has also worked with Day Sultan on a single titled BIG.
As a Model, Rose has worked with several brands, including Nova, Princess Polly, and Pink Dolphin.

Rose has been in a few relationships with renowned celebrities like Playboy Carti, DDG, and Lil Tjay.
She met with Playboy Carti in 2018 and got featured on one of his tracks, ‘On Top.’ Rose took the verse, ‘Getting Top.’
The two met there and began dating in 2018.
It was later reported that Rose was physically assaulted by Playboy Carti and was arrested at LAX.
