Harry Edward Styles (born February 1, 1994), professionally known as Harry Styles, is a British singer, songwriter, and actor. He is one of the members of the British Boy Band popularly known as ‘One Direction, which He joined after He was eliminated from ‘X Factor, a British music competition series.

Early Life

The 28 years British artist was born and raised in Redditch, Worcestershire, England, to the couples Anne Twist and Desmond Styles, alongside his elder sister, Gemma, but the family relocated to Holmes Chapel shortly after Edward was born.

His parent divorced while He was seven, although He didn’t like that his parents were divorcing. He was younger and didn’t know exactly what was going on. He was raised alongside his sister, Gemma, by their mom, all alone. But a few years later, Anne married her business partner, John Cox, but divorced again after a few years. She married Robin Twist again in 2013 but lost Robin to cancer disease in 2017.

Harry lived his formative years in Holmes Chapel, where He completed his early schooling at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School in Cheshire, England.

Harry was a music lover from a younger age. While at school, Harryformed a band with three of his other friends, calling themselves ‘White Eskimo,’ having Harry as their lead singer. This band became very popular in their school and won a local band battle competition. He would work at W. Mandeville bakery in Holmes Chapel every weekend to support his mom.

Career

His mom was always there to motivate him to take a bold step toward his musical life. In 2010, when he was 16 years of age, He auditioned as a solo contestant for the seventh series of the British televised singing competition known as the ‘X Factor, where He sang the “Hey, Soul Sister” train rendition.

He also made a rendition of Steve Wonders‘s “Isn’t she beautiful” after He was advised by Simon Cowell to give in to something better. He did try his best but was eliminated from the show. However, Simon Cowell called him and the other four participants who were also within his age range and were eliminated from the show. He formed a band with them, including him being a mentor. They were to compete in the groups category of the competition.

Fortunately, they emerged in the third position. The five-member group called themselves’ One Direction,’ which came as a suggestion from Harry. The group continued together after the contest and signed a record deal with Cowell’s records, Syco Record, in January 2011.

The group released their first single titled “What makes you Beautiful.” The song debuted at number one on the Uk Chart.

Together, they released their studio album, “Up All Night,” of which Harry co-wrote three tracks.

The 13-track album was released on November 18, 2011.

The songs were a massive hit, and it debuted at number one in the United state and became the first British group to have their album ever debut at number one in the United state.

They released their 5th and last album together, ‘Made in the A.M‘ in 2015.

The group decided to take a break from recording and touring. This opportunity helped Styles pursue a solo career on his own.

He got a record deal from Columbia Records. Around the same time, Harrylaunched his record label, Erskine Records.

The young British boy began recording under Columbia Records and eventually released an album, “Sign of the Time,” in 2017.

In this album, he was able to fuse the sound of his teams which he was influenced and acquainted with the song, and it became a chart-topping album in the UK.

He went into acting and starred as a British soldier during “World War II” in Dunkirk.

His performance in the movie was greatly appreciated, and he received accolades.

But He had his fans wait for two years before he came through with a single in October 2019, “Lights Up,” from his second studio album, ‘Fine Line.‘

The album debuted at number one on the UK and United States charts.

His second solo album came in December 2020, debuting seven on the UK chart and six in the US.

Within a few times, the album topped both countries’ charts and eventually became the sales debut of a British artist in the US.

In 2021, Styles focused on acting, joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and started as Eros in ‘Eternals and some other movies.

In 2022, he returned to music and released another album that ranked number one in most countries.

Personal Life

Harry was born on February 1, 1994 and grew up alongside his sister and his half-siblings after His mom got separated when he was just seven.

He has an elder sister, Gemma Styles, and two half-siblings, Mike Twist and Amy Twist.

Harry is currently single and not married.

He’s reportedly in a relationship with Caroline Flack, a television presenter in England.

The two dates for only a year(2011-2012) as their relationship stirred up a lot of controversies.

Caroline was 14 years older than Styles then.

He dated Taylor Swift, a singer and songwriter. The young acts didn’t go well, as they only dated for two months before going their separate ways.

He proceeded to Camille Rowe 2019, a famous French Model. The two dated for 2 years before they had their differences and opted out. Camille was the inspiration behind his studio album ‘Fine Line.’

He also dated an actress and director, Olivia Wilde. Their romantic life began when she directed Styles for the film “Don’t Worry Darling” in 2021.
